From pre-viz to production

As someone who values a process-oriented approach to executing projects, pre-visualization is essential. It dials down my stress before a shoot and ensures the desired results.

In my approach to projects, I find pre-visualization to be more effective than mood boards or references in reducing pre-shoot stress, and achieving desired results. While basic mood boards suffice for simple briefs, detailed illustrations are crucial for complex projects.

Here's a glimpse into the pre-visualization and behind-the-scenes of one of my commissioned projects.

1. Client Onboarding

It starts with a deep dive into the brand's guidelines and ethos, ensuring everything is understood clearly; from their visual branding to core values.

This thorough exploration sets the stage for a collaborative partnership grounded in clarity and shared vision.

2. Moodboard and References

To craft mood boards, I gather diverse references from the web, aligning them with the brand's guidelines.

Each image and element is carefully chosen to reflect the brand's identity and evoke the desired mood. These boards serve as a visual roadmap, guiding the project with clarity and purpose.

3. Shot breakdown and Pre - Visualtions

Once our mood board is approved, we dive into the nitty-gritty: a detailed breakdown of each shot or visual.

To keep things crystal clear, we often use illustrations alongside this process. These visuals serve as a roadmap, ensuring everyone understands the vision down to the finest detail.

With this approach, we lay the groundwork for a smooth journey from concept to reality, leaving no room for uncertainty along the way.

4. Production

Once we've nailed down the shot breakdown and ensured clarity between the client and creative team, it's all-systems-go. for the shoot.

We typically allocate around 3-4 days for pre-production, ironing out every detail, and then dive headfirst into full-fledged production. This structured timeline allows us to hit the ground running, ensuring smooth sailing from planning to execution.

With everyone on board and a clear roadmap in place, we're ready to bring our vision to life, capturing each moment with precision and purpose.

5. Post Production

In our post-production process, we adhere to a carefully planned timeline spanning 7-14 days, divided into three key stages: the first draft, revised draft, and final output.

Throughout each stage, our team of professional retouchers and editors meticulously refine every detail, ensuring the highest quality results. This structured approach allows us to maintain efficiency and precision, delivering a final product that exceeds expectations.

From enhancing visuals to perfecting details, the post-production team works tirelessly to bring out the best in every image or video.
